It's Away!

It's Away!

As discussed in this article, Wendy & I prepared an audition DVD for a food television show. I sent it off today and it will arrive in New York tomorrow. Cross your fingers for us! Big thanks to Robin, Dave, and Wendy for their help and patience…

DINNER 296: Tuesday, October 24, 2006

Not much in the way of dinner this evening. Getting home from work took longer than expected — I witnessed a fender-bender accident (right in front of me!) on my way. Fortunately, no one was hurt. But by the time I got on my way again, traffic had gotten pretty thick.

So I made it home and took care of the dogs before getting ready to go see Monty Python’s SPAMALOT at the Aronoff Theater with Wendy. She got home, got ready, and grabbed an energy bar which reminded me I hadn’t eaten. I grabbed a breakfast bar and a soda and we were off to the theater.

The show was okay… There was no story to speak of; it was mostly a loose collection of ‘bits’ connected by immediately forgettable songs performed by actors who seemed to be phoning in their performances. There was some genuinely funny stuff, but not enough to elevate the show beyond mediocre.

I was right — Dave (who plays Dr. Scott (great Scott!) in the ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater) & I met at Pepper Pod. Our server, a kind lady who has worked there for 35 years and talks in a sing-song voice yelled at Dave for not finishing his green beans. I had salsbury steak, mashed potatoes, and cottage cheese. A cola product to drink! It was good but nothing earth shattering! It didn’t sit well!

Man, I’m a talented psychic. I need to sit down.

DINNER 300: Saturday, October 28, 2006

Dinner before this evening’s performance of the ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater was a run through Taco Bell for a couple quesadillas and one of their awesome Caramel Apple Empenadas. Between shows, we had sandwiches, chips, and sodas brought in (thanks Ted & Tracy!) so…
