DINNER 292: Thursday, October 19, 2006
Today, I present for you the first ever precognitive dinner report. Yes, right now, I will predict with startling accuracy what I will consume for dinner this evening — before it happens!
I gaze into my scrying stone and sense that my meal tonight will be at The Pepper Pod with Dave, who plays Dr. Scott (great Scott!) in our show. We will sit in a booth, and I will order a salsbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cottage cheese. A cola product to drink. Dinner will be good and comforting, but nothing earth shattering. After a nice dinner and good conversation, Dave and I will go over to work on THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW’s final dress rehearsal at Falcon Theater. The show opens tomorrow (and I predict a very full, energetic, and successful run!).
I further predict that the salsbury steak will not ‘sit well’ in my stomach, and I will be a gaseous mass (with apologies to David, who is stuck in the production booth with me!) tonight.
MAJOR UPDATE TO THIS STORY: As it turns out, I am more of an “extra large” and a “medium”… Dave & I met as planned but decided to dine at Lightfoot’s Restaurant instead, and I’m glad we did. We had seafood-stuffed mushrooms, green salads, and fried bologna sandwiches. They were delicious, and the service has improved considerably at Lightfoot’s.
