DINNER 35: Saturday, February 4, 2006

This evening, we went to dinner with our friends Ed & Holly to Nick’s Chops & Chasers, where we enjoyed our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, our soups & salads, and thick, boneless, and well-prepared pork chops prepared a variety of ways (Jack Daniel’s glazed, garlic & onion,…

DINNER 34: Friday, February 3, 2006

Tonight, we ate at CRAZY BUFFET with Dave & Robin. Robin carefully selected tonight’s destination after last week’s restaurant confusion. He seemed much more comfortable in the familiar (but crazy) surroundings of the giant buffet. We dined on loads of decent Chinese-ish food, and sat…

DINNER 33: Thursday, February 2, 2006

Wendy had rehearsal for IRMA VEP at Falcon Theater tonight, so I was on my own for dinner. That meant leftovers! Yup, the never-ending stream of stuffed, roasted pork from our dinner party continues. I ate that along with some cottage cheese and potato chips. Even though I am a ‘foodie‘, I’m still a guy and my lousy eating habits show from time to time!

It's Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day everyone! Yes, it’s that time of year once again.  A time for that most pint sized of meteorological prognosticators, Puxatawny Phil, to use his magical powers for the good, or at least amusement, of mankind. But as you’re enjoying your celebrations this…

DINNER 32: Wednesday, February 1, 2006

Tonight, we took a short break from left-overs to quickly dine together at Frisch’s. Wendy had a turkey wrap and I had a cheeseburger & some of their great onion rings.

After dinner, Wendy headed down to the theater for a rehearsal of IRMA VEP at Falcon Theater. She’s working backstage on this project. I went over to Border’s bookstore and picked up a copy of La Bonne Cuisine de Madame E. Saint-Ange. I laid around in our guest room with our as-yet-unnamed new kitten and read it for a while this evening.

DINNER 31: Tuesday, January 31, 2006

This evening, we enjoyed leftovers from last weekend’s dinner (when I said we had a lot left over, I wasn’t kidding!). We ate some more of the pork and finished the sweet potato puree. We’ve also got some fresh egg pasta dough in the fridge. I had thought…
