DINNER 125: Friday, May 5, 2006

After work today, I drove directly to Newport Kentucky because it’s opening night of Wendy’s show at Falcon Theater — LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS! I stopped at Walgreen’s to pick up some Swedish Fish candy for the cast, then headed down to a restaurant that…

DINNER 126: Saturday, May 6, 2006

The second night of Wendy’s show, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, for Falcon Theater, so we drove down together and stopped to pick up a couple tacos at Taco Bell before the show. After the show (which was very good this evening), we all went to…

DINNER 132: Friday, May 12, 2006

Before attending this evening’s performance of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Falcon Theater, I met Anne & Larry at Detroit Joe’s for dinner. You may remember Anne & Larry as the couple with whom we attended WICKED on March 9 of this year.

We met at Detroit Joe’s not only because of their proximity to the theater, but because of their good food. I arrived early since I went to the restaurant directly from work, and had a nice glass of Merlot and conversation with Marla, the owner. After Anne & Larry arrived, we settled into the cozy booth and enjoyed a fine, overly-filling meal of Portobello Ravioli appetizer and a mussell appetizer; salads (hot slaw and green); entrees including “Neptune’s Delight”, marinated tuna, and a shrimp & scallop scampi dish. Everything was very good, and we made it to the theater in plenty of time to see the excellent production of LITTLE SHOP.

After the show, most of the cast (along with Brian & Milan who came to see the show tonight) went over to Lightfoot’s for fried bologna sandwiches, cold beer, and conversation.

DINNER 288: Sunday, October 15, 2006

Today and tonight we ate out, because we had our first technical rehearsal for THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater this evening. This first tech was the “cue-to-cue”, where the technical crew works through the entire show, from cue to cue. It’s boring and…

DINNER 289: Monday, October 16, 2006

DINNER 289: Monday, October 16, 2006

An incredibly simple dinner this evening because I was running far behind my time today. I was trying to get away from the office a few minutes early because the weather was bad. Bad weather (in this case, rain) and Cincinnati drivers do not mix!…

DINNER 290: Tuesday, October 17, 2006

DINNER 290: Tuesday, October 17, 2006

Another meal on the run tonight. I traveled to Wilberforce University today for a career fair so was on the road most of the day. I got home, gave the dogs a snack and the chance to stretch their legs outside for a while, and gobbled a can of cheese ravioli, some yogurt, and water.

These are the few quiet minutes spent at home between work and rehearsal for ROCKY HORROR SHOW which we’re doing at Falcon Theater. It opens this weekend (October 20). If you’re interested, information and ticket reservations can be found at the Falcon Theater website.

DINNER 291: Wednesday, October 18, 2006

DINNER 291: Wednesday, October 18, 2006

Another technical rehearsal this evening for ROCKY HORROR SHOW at Falcon Theater. The rehearsal went very well, though I was a bit late coming home this evening because of responsibilities at my office (we’re having our accreditation visit this week — stressful!) so we rocketed…
