Tonight, we ate from a local Chinese restaurant. We had soup (I had hot & sour, Wendy had Chicken Rice), some fried wontons, and two shrimp dishes… Wendy had Shrimp Fried Rice and I ate Shrimp Chow Fun.
LEFTOVER NIGHT! I was going to make some Tuna Helper (a staple around here), but our milk had ‘turned’, so we ate leftovers from last night’s Chinese… Wendy had Shrimp Fried Rice and I ate Shrimp Chow Fun.
Got some milk. Made some Tuna Helper and some corn (which I spiced up with entirely too much cayenne pepper). Delicious. How tacky would it be for Wendy & me to serve Tuna Helper at our wedding?
Last night, Wendy & I (along with Ted, Tracy, Ginny, Julie, Carrie, Bob, Sharon, Dave, Mary, and several hundred others) saw THE LION KING, the tour company of the original Broadway show.
Tonight, Wendy and I ate at Nicholson's in downtown Cincinnati.
We dined with Ginny, David, Carrie, Julie, Ted, and Tracy before some of us crossed the street (and in front of some of the "Cincinnati Protesters" (who, I swear, have no idea what they're even protesting!)) to see THE LION KING.
Nicholson's is a comfortable restaurant specializing in Scottish fare, and they do it well. We ate a Scotch Egg, salad with their Stilton Bleu Cheese dressing, a Scot Brown (a variation on a Kentucky Hot Brown), and fish & chips.
This hearty meal was sufficient to get us through all three hours of THE LION KING.
