DINNER 285: Thursday, October 12, 2006

I stayed home today so the gas & electric company could come and replace our meters with meters that can be read via radio signal. Apparently, the locking mechanism on the gate to our backyard was too complex for the geniuses at the gas & electric company…

DINNER 284: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

I didn’t get to update the site last night, so I apologize for the ‘late’ update this morning. Last night, I particpated in a ‘table read’ of a movie script produced by a local production house, Barking Fish Lounge and didn’t get home until later than…

DINNER 283: Tuesday, October 10, 2006

A campus-based dinner at Wendy’s tonight (cheeseburger, fries, and a small chocolate frostie) since I was on class for a “communiversity” class in VOICE ACTING. It was an interesting class, though it was oversubscribed — there were over 40 people there, a surprise to the students as well as the instructor.

The instructor was John Pruden from Voices For All, a voiceover training company in New York. We learned the basics of voiceover work, had an introduction to the business side of things, and were coached and recorded by John who analysed our voices and gave us his professional opinion. It was an interesting class ultimately selling something I’m not sure one needs to buy, but interesting nonetheless.

DINNER 282: Monday, October 9, 2006

After a late lunch of a particularly unsatisfying lump of pasty lasagna left over from an event at school today, I wasn’t feeling very hungry, so didn’t really eat dinner. Unless you count a small bag of microwave popcorn (I love the little individual serving…

DINNER 279: Friday, October 6, 2006

Wendy & I spent the evening together, which is nice and increasingly rare with her rehearsals heating up. We had to run to the mall for a stop at Victoria’s Secret (I never object). While we were there, I stopped for a hot pretzel and…
