Penn Station for dinner!
May The Stars Light Your Way
Tonight we went to The Melting Pot to celebrate Michelle’s birthday. At the table were Ashley, Greg, Debby, Nicki, Jo, Julie, Joey, Wendy, and Drew. We enjoyed the wide array of fondue-able items presented at the restaurant, and especially loved the chocolate fondue desserts! Happy…
Tonight’s dinner was little low-fat cookies & a Mt. Dew out of a vending machine before (and partially during) Culinary class.
Dramatic, eh?
Wendy is still feeling crummy… She’s terribly congested and just feeling generally blah. We went to LuLu’s Noodle Bowl for dinner — I had a very nice Cashew Shrimp dish with rice, and Wendy had her customary vat of hot -n- spicy soup with chicken…
Tonight, I made a basic risotto with chicken stock, parmesian cheese, garlic, onion, parsley, and (of course) rice. Since we didn’t have any arborio rice, I used sushi rice and it worked out just as well.
Tonight was LaRosa’s because Ted, Chris & Rebecca came over to complete our Nitrox coursework. As part of our ongoing scuba training, we’re becoming Nitrox certified. Nitrox is ‘enriched oxygen air’ which provides longer time at depth than regular air. Rebecca is our instructor, and her husband Chris joined Ted, Wendy, and myself in the role of ‘student’ this evening.
We hosted a party — a going-away party for our friend Doug, who has moved to Las Vegas to become a purveyor of those crappy pop-up windows that everyone hates.
