A Long Overdue Update

It has been a really long time since I updated this site. But, even though it has appeared quiet on here, it has been anything but quiet in our lives.

In one of my most recent posts, I indicated that Wendy & I had gone on the Disney Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. We fell absolutely in love with the experience and went three more times (for a total of four visits in four months). Sadly, the Starcruiser closed in September 2023. We’ve become a part of the fantastic fan community of the Starcruiser.

And that leads me to the next big thing… Wendy and I planned and executed two (so far) fundraising events called A Galactic Dinner (see AGalacticEvent.COM). The first one, in 2024, was a massive success and raised over $22,000 for Make-A-Wish. The second one, in 2025, was an even larger success and raised around $30,000 for our charity partners (Shriners Children’s Charities and La Soupe).

There’s been some crummy stuff, too… I got laid off from a job I loved, was unemployed for a few months, then hired on at another job I loved, then got shut down by DOGE, was unemployed for a few months, and finally have landed in a contract gig. Phew.

Wendy had one of her plays, During/After, produced at a local theater to great reviews. I’m so proud of the work she’s doing!
