DINNER: Saturday, March 1, 2003
Tonight, we ate at Kona Jack's restaurant, down in Indianapolis. Kona Jack's is a 5-year winner of the Best Seafood in Indianapolis, and it's easy to see why. It's very fresh, and well-prepared. We enjoyed the restaurant which is decorated in the theme of the Big Island of Hawaai. Wendy and I shared an appetizer of Sashimi Ichiban — large slices of ruby-red tuna served with white sticky rice, tomatoes, wasabi paste, and pickled ginger. The slices were generous and barely seared on the outside.
We had soup — Wendy got seafood gumbo and I had New England Clam Chowder, then enjoyed our entrees. Wendy loved her Seafood Linguini with a cream sauce, and I had seared Ahi with rice and vegetables. It was a delicious night!
