Rustic Rub

You'll have more spice rub than you need for the "Braised Beef and Veal with Tomato Gravy (Grillades)", included in this collection. Try this seasoning on fish, pork, or beef dishes.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne
2 1/2 tablespoons black pepper
3 tablespoons garlic powder
1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
3 tablespoons salt
1 1/4 tablespoons dried oregano
1 1/4 tablespoons dried thyme


 

Instructions
Stir together all ingredients in a bowl until combined well.

Spice rub keeps in an airtight container at room temperature 3 months.

notes:  I put a little olive oil on some Delmonico steaks, rubbed a lot of this rub on, squirted a little worcestershire sauce and grilled. Amazing.
